Proma is an open-source, local-first AI desktop application published by ErlichLiu, currently at version 0.10.25 with two versions recorded in the catalog. It falls into the AI assistant and agent tooling category, aiming to bring a smooth general-purpose agent experience into everyday workflows for professional users, with a roadmap oriented toward proactive agent capabilities. Built as a complete open-source implementation on top of the Claude Agent SDK (@anthropic-ai/claude-agent-sdk), it natively supports invocation through Feishu/Lark group chats and flexible integration with arbitrary large language model providers. Proma combines multi-model chat, a general-purpose agent, workspaces, Skills, MCP support, remote bots, and memory within a single client. Agent mode provides workspace isolation, permission modes, file operations, streaming output for long tasks, plan confirmation, and user follow-up questions, while complex tasks can be decomposed into sub-agents and tasks with their invocation process displayed in the message stream. Each workspace can independently configure Skills, MCP servers, and workspace files for accumulating reusable capabilities. Remote bot bridging supports Feishu and Lark, with DingTalk and WeChat bridge entry points provided, allowing users to trigger local agent workflows from a phone or group chat. Chat and Agent share memory capabilities alongside web search and built-in tools. Following a local-first design, sessions, workspaces, attachments, configurations, and Skills are stored by default in ~/.proma/ using JSON/JSONL files without a local database. Desktop features include auto-updates, proxy settings, file preview, global shortcuts, a quick task window, voice input, and light, dark, and system-following themes.
